Most bands get started in a garage and some get lucky enough to move on to studios. For Bean Fight, they are happy enough to play in a kitchen

Bean Fight is a small, go anywhere, play anywhere band that is great for parties. They dont prefer to setup in a kitchen and play in front of a small crowd, but they love to perform. If that means setting up a drum set and three guitars next to the refrigerator, then so be it.
Bean Fight began back in November of 1995. Rhythm guitarist Rich "Bean Bag" Silva was studying at California State University, Chico to earn his BS in underwater finger painting. Being that Rich is an Orange County native, he really despised having to hear the crap-hippie music that is continuously played throughout Chico State. Rich channeled his anger into forming his own punk band, with the hopes of one day running all of the other bands out of town (or at least to just get chicks).
Richs first step was to place an ad in the local ragazine, "The Synthesis." After months of no success in finding members which would fit his style, Rich almost gave up and actually thought of joining Electric Circus. Luckily a transplant bassist from San Diego, Thomas Noto, answered his ad in May of 1996. From there, Bean Fight grew by adding Sean "String Bean" Gomez on drums and Zacaria Ackerfunkel on lead guitar.
Since that summer of 1996, the four members of Bean Fight have developed a sound all their own (probably because no hippie band would want to touch it!) They spend their time playing parties for their favorite fans in Chico, along with playing with themselves. They also finally stole enough money from their girlfriends in order to record a demo.
For the future of Bean Fight, they do not have a clue! They just like to play their music for their friends and get paid beer for doing it!
